My child doesn’t speak Swedish. How can my child communicate with the Swedish speaking kindergarten teacher?

There is always a German speaking and Swedish speaking kindergarten teacher in the group.

The Swedish speaking kindergarten teacher will speak Swedish and the German speaking teacher will speak German with the children.

Does my child have to speak German or Swedish to attend your kindergarten?

No, your child does not have to speak German or Swedish to attend our Kindergarten. We have nearly

15 different nationalities in the kindergarten.

How fast do children learn Swedish on average?

Children learn to understand Swedish pretty fast. How long it takes before they learn to speak Swedish depends on every child individually.

How can I register my child and which documents do I need, to apply?

You can register your child by filling in this document. After you have given us the document and paid the registration fee of 160€ to following account - IBAN: AT542011100038620227 - your child is registered. As soon as we have received your application we will contact you.

Do I need to have a connection with Sweden (e.g. nationality) to register my child?

No, you don’t need any connection with Sweden to enable your application. Children with all nationalities

are welcome. For time being we have children from 15 different nations at Lönneberga. We work according Swedish and also Austrian curriculum in kindergarten.

From which age are children welcome in your kindergarten?

Children from the age of two are welcome in our kindergarten.

How does the staffing level look like in Junibacken?

In Junibacken we have two kindergarten teachers and one nursery attendant for a maximum of 20 children over the core-hours.

What are the opening hours?

Our kindergarten is open Monday-Friday, from 08:00 - 17:00. The kindergarten is open all year except

for two weeks during Christmas and four weeks during the summer. Here you will find the kindergarten year 2023/2024.

Which costs are included in the monthly fee?

In the monthly fee everything is included, e.g. lunch, snacks, field trips, craft material.

How often are the children outside?

Every day for several hours regardless of weather conditions. Therefore your child needs clothing for all kind of weather. We often meet outside already in the morning and go inside between 9-10 o’clock. After lunch the children play indoors for a while before we go outside again. We have two playgrounds outside, where our children have lots of fun.

Where can I park when dropping off or picking up my child?

Just two-walking minutes away from the kindergarten there is a big parking lot where you can park while dropping og and picking up your child. Please regard the official parking rules for the 19th district.
